- DOCTOR OF THEOLOGY: 90 credit hours
The ThD degree program is offered to students wishing to enhance their knowledge and
ministerial skills or teaching competence in certain advanced areas of theology and
ministry. The ThD program at DBC has a strong academic focus and biblical foundation,
with a clear connection to the church.
Candidates for the Doctor of Theology degree will specialize in one of the fields of
theological scholarship, such as: Hebrew Bible/Old Testament; New Testament and
Early Christian Studies; History of Christianity; Systematic Theology; Ethics; Church
Growth and Mission Studies.
Admission Requirements
The applicant must have earned a master’s degree in Divinity, Theology, or Biblical
Studies, and present evidence of completion of Bible College and present evidence of
dedication in some ministry area.
Course Requirements
The Doctor of Theology degree requires 90 credit-hours. A minimum of 75 credit
hours must be completed at DBC.
